And that’s a wrap!

5 epic days of the states best young swimmers battling it out and giving everything they could to be the fastest in the pool.

The final night of racing saw:

Lucy D take a blistering 4.67 seconds of her 100Backstroke finishing 6th

Hinako took 1.89 sec to finish 7th in 100BK

And Vaughn had a small PB to actually equal Hinako’s 100BK time of 1:13:23 - they have decided that Synchronised maybe on the cards.

Well done to Indee who battled all week coming in with a few niggles was a great team mate.

The wash up with MGSC Team MMM - had some amazing results including:

2x National Age qualifying times
16x Top 10 Finishes
23x Personal Best times

And 5 days of - Making Magic Moments

Congratulations to all swimmers with Hinako and Lucy continuing the work for National in April.
Thanks to the parents for team managing, supporting and saving our places in the stands.

Huge congratulations and thanks to our coaches Julie, Haylea and Nathan who without their support wouldn’t see our swimmers reach the heights they have.

Congratulations to Swimming SA on hosting a fantastic championship event.

Now the travel home for some rest!

End of day 3 of State Age Championships

A mighty effort from all swimmers again - with a few finals tonight as well.

Vaughn’s only event today was 100BR and in a huge effort took 1.25sec off showing no signs of a troublesome shoulder finishing 6th.

Hinako - with the excitement of making her 1st National Age time last night it was important she knuckled in for the 50FLY and after a solid swim in the heats - she real put the nose to the grind to take .78 off for a new PB of 32.13 and 7th place.

Lucy D - After an exciting day 2 - wound up in the 50FLY final and equaled her PB of 31.98 5th place - a solid swim and will be able to take confidence into Nationals in April.
Lucy also made a massive improvement in her 100BR taking of 1.74 seconds for a new PB.

Tayla F joined us tonight in the 50BR & 50BK this young lady has no fear when it comes to the competition on the big stage and takes it all in her stride.
Taking 3.5 seconds off her 50BK time and posting an impressive time in her 50BR.

Darcy B joins us tomorrow in the 100FR while Vaughn is chasing a special time in the 50BR - it’s sure to be hot action.

They have all excelled in taking their moments when they come - with more magic left in the tank I’m sure.

Thanks for the support
